Mason Saunders Henry signs on for 2025–26 with Carshalton Athletic after a standout season. Manager Peter Adeniyi hails him as key to their campaign.

A Vital Piece of the Puzzle

Manager Peter Adeniyi called the decision “crucial” to the club’s ambitions.

“He’s a midfielder who truly has it all,” Adeniyi said.
“Now he’s adding goals to his game.”

Mason Saunders Henry signs with Carshalton From Kingstonian

Saunders-Henry, 25, joined Carshalton midway through 2023–24 from Kingstonian FC.

He quickly made an impact, featuring in 40 matches and scoring eight goals.

That placed him joint third-top scorer for the club, alongside Tommy Bradford, and just behind Fabio Saraiva and David Smith.

Rising Through the Ranks

His growth under Adeniyi’s leadership has been remarkable.

Once a wide midfielder, Saunders-Henry has flourished in a central role—especially as the most advanced in a midfield trio.

His technical quality and precise passing regularly carved open defences, earning him high praise.

Adeniyi previously called him “the best player in Step 3.”

That accolade came as he was named joint Young Player of the Year, underlining his reputation as a standout talent in non-league football.

A key development came during the winter break.

Adeniyi challenged Saunders-Henry to sharpen his game in front of goal.

The result? Six more goals added by the end of the season.

His most memorable moment came late in the season.

Coming back from injury, he scored a 90th-minute winner against Chatham United, ending their 15-match unbeaten run.

That goal not only sealed a 2–0 win but also pushed Carshalton into the play-off places—a crucial moment in their campaign.
