Local Spurs Talent Takes Spotlight in London’s Lyceum
Tottenham Hotspur’s youth programme is stepping into the spotlight — literally.
On Monday, 23 June, a group of young performers from Tottenham will take centre stage at London’s iconic Lyceum Theatre.
The one-night-only show is part of West End in Tottenham, a creative community project by Tottenham Hotspur Football Club and ATG Entertainment.
Designed to give local youth free access to the arts, the initiative offers weekly theatre workshops across Haringey.

A Time-Travelling Tale of Tottenham
The production, titled ‘Chronicles of Tottenham: A Time-Travelling Adventure’, tells the story of local schoolchildren journeying through the area’s vibrant cultural history — including the founding of Spurs.
Kids aged 10–17, along with a dedicated over-18s group, have been rehearsing for months, all thanks to Spurs’ funding.
The play celebrates the heritage, identity, and pride of the Tottenham community — past and present.
Ledley King Drops In on Rehearsals
Club legend Ledley King paid a surprise visit to Lancasterian Primary School to meet the young cast during a recent rehearsal.
“It was great to see their preparations for a play that honours the history of the area and the Club,”
said King.
“I’m sure it will be a brilliant show at the Lyceum.”
Beyond the Stage: Building Community
Conor Hunt, Senior Creative Learning Manager at ATG Entertainment, called the project more than just a performance:
“We’ve built more than a show — we’ve created a celebration of identity, culture, and collective voice that truly belongs to Tottenham.”
Spurs’ Vision for a Cultural Hub
This West End performance aligns with Spurs’ wider mission to grow a sport, leisure, and cultural hub around its stadium in Haringey.
It also follows news that Haringey has been named London Borough of Culture for 2027, a major milestone for the area.
According to a recent EY report, the Club generates £344 million GVA locally and has created over 4,000 jobs in the borough.
